History of the kingdom of Silimakuta, 18th century
The kingdoms in Simalungun are thought to have existed since at least the 14th century.
The oldest kingdom of Nagur is thought to have existed since the 5th century based on Chinese sources (Swi Dynasty).
The Nagur then broke into two: Si Tonggang and Batangio Kingdoms. Batangio became the kingdom of Tanah Java. Si Tonggang became the kingdom of Siantar. There was still the kingdom of Silou.
Silou broke into the kingdom of Panei and the kingdom of Dolok Silau. Later, after the entry of the Dutch, Silau’s vassals, namely Purba, Raya and Silimakuta, were recognized as autonomous by the Dutch.
There were seven generations of kings who ruled Silimakuta. Therefore, Girsang, the founder of the Silimakuta Kingdom, is thought to have lived in the 18th century. The Silimakuta kingdom was founded by Datu Parulas and founded his village, Naga Saribu, which became the capital of the Silimakuta kingdom (Wikipedia: Girsang). Silimakuta Kingdom in Nagasaribu.
