The Kingdom of Alam Surambi Sungai Pagu was founded in the 16th century. It is a kingdom of the Minangkabau people. Located in the district of Solok Selatan, prov. of West Sumatera.

In 2012 the last king died: Zulkarnain Daulat Yang Dipertuan Bagindo Sultan Besar Tuanku Rajo Disambah.
There is not yet a successor.
Nowadays, the kingdom of Sungai Pagu is in vacuum after the death (2012) of Zulkarnain Daulat Yang Dipertuan Bagindo Sultan Agung Tuanku Rajo Disambah.

History of the kingdom of Alam Surambi Sungai Pagu, 16th century
The Kingdom of the Alam Surambi Sungai Pagu was a kingdom that existed in the 16th century in the area of South Solok now. This kingdom was founded by Minangkabau descendants of Pagaruyung. The complete name of this kingdom is: the Kingdom of Alam Surambi Sungai Pagu.
This kingdom was located near Pasir Talang (Solok Selatan) and the area of Bandar Sepuluh. This kingdom stretched from Surian to the shoreline of XII Koto (Sangir).
Currently, after the death of the deceased Zulkarnain Daulat Yang Di-Pertuan Besar Tuanku Sultan Bagindo Disambah Rajo, there is a vacuum.

In the book Alam Surambi Sungai Pagu and the diary of Puti Lelo Jati Bundo Kanduang Daulat Yang Dipertuan Bagindo Sultan Besar Tuanku Rajo Disambah, it is explained, that those, who lead KASSP are four kings, who have different powers, such as:
* Bagindo Sultan Besar Tuanku Rajo (Rajo Daulat / Rajo Alam).
* Tuanku Rajo Bagindo (Rajo adat, economy and ruler of Tambo Alam).
* Tuanku Rajo Malenggang (taking care of Customs / Excise / Taxes in Banda nan Sapuluah / guarding the Palimo people).
* Tuanku Rajo Batuah (Rajo Ibadat, guarding, looking for mines to the Abu and Palangki Rivers).
