In the beginning of Soppeng, there were 60 communities led by Matoa. To Manurung ri Sekkanyili alias La Temmamala and We Tenripuppu Manurungnge ri GoariE founded principality of Soppeng Riaja and the principality of Soppeng riLau; these two principalities later were united.
The appearence of of Tomanurung from Sekkanyili ‘(Soppeng Riaja) and Manurunnge of Goarié (Kingdom of Soppeng Rilau) was an early phase of the tranquility of the Soppeng community.
During the government of

The dispute ended with a peace agreement between La Makkarodda and Lamataesso and Soppeng entered a new era, marked by the end of the twin kingdom in Soppeng and subsequently became a single unit (mabbulo peppa) under a banner of greatness and one sovereign king as the holder of the reign of government, “Soppeng Kingdom”.
As a result of the decision of the Adat Council, La Mataesso Puang Lipue Patolae was appointed as Datu Soppeng Bersatu (1560) and La Makkarodda Totenribali was appointed to be the Prime Minister of the Soppeng Kingdom. After the kingdom of Soppeng Rilau was integrated with Soppeng Riaja, then the center of the kingdom was centered in Laleng Benteng.
